Director's Notes

This was originally scene seven of a film we were planning on doing our freshman year of high school. The movie never worked out though, so what we're left with is this very random scene featuring myself as some kind of secret agent (or someone who is otherwise in a suit and wearing sunglasses) on a mission to "neutralize" an enemy agent (or otherwise some random guy, played by Justin Leonhardt) in his apartment. We can only assume he's an enemy agent because he has a gun and shot glasses on his nightstand. Who else does that? Some of the audio was altered and the video edited so it could be used as a kind of introductory video to Terryville Kids Productions.

Some of the elements in this video worked in our favor nicely. The dog barking creepily in the background is not an effect - there really was a dog barking in the distance as we were shooting. The run-down looking warehouse complex with the hills in the background is not a backdrop or a set - those buildings just happened to be located there across from the house of our camerman, Tom Poudrier. His basement is what we used for the apartment set. If you look closely you'll notice that the mattress is covering a chalkboard with something written on it. This is the same chalkboard with the same writing leftover from when we filmed a scene for Goonie Gossip: The Movie in that basement a year earlier.
